Up for sale today is a really nice Antique Original Mason's Patent 1858 Fruit Canning Jar in the Citron Yellow color. What a great color! This jar is a quart size, standing 7" tall, with the base being approx. 3 3/4" diameter. It's got all the bubbles and waviness you want to see in a vintage Mason Jar. Its really in great condition for its age. I find no major cracks or chips, and only some typical light roughness around the mouth. The lid is a later Ball replacement. The bottom has an embossed "B". The bottom also has a slight dent from the molding process, but the jar sits flat - kind of a ... |
